To the Editor:
As summer reading season draws to a close in Potsdam, I want to take a moment to thank all the members of the community that helped make our summer special.
Thank you to Bre Anna Stephenson who volunteered for all five reading camps, to Kimberly Klatt, Jennifer ZehrSachs, Claire Burkum and Violet Dean who each dedicated a week of their time, to Kelli Grewell, Robert Fowler, Kimberly Holmes, library board member Lou Anne Lang and Ed Sachs who guided grades two and three through their week, and, finally, to Chelsea Wright the library’s summer youth worker.
Your delightful service allowed us to include ninety children in our programs and we could not have done it without you!
I would also like to acknowledge Tanisha Fetcie who was the library’s top summer reader in both 2013 (160 books) and 2014 (100 books) and runners-up Sydney Daniels and Ashton Hebert who each read forty books.
Sarah Sachs
Youth Services Librarian, Potsdam Public Library
