POTSDAM -- The SUNY Potsdam Women’s Volleyball Team recently donated $1,300 to the Canton-Potsdam Hospital Foundation.
The donation will be used for pediatric services at the hospital.
Team members raised funds at a concession stand set up for local section 10 high school basketball games held earlier this spring on the SUNY Potsdam campus.
Although Canton-Potsdam Hospital does not have a separate pediatrics unit, the hospital does provide both inpatient and outpatient pediatric services.
The team’s donation will be used for special amenities, including a “Kids Care Cart” stocked with games, puzzles, books and toys for young patients to take home when they are discharged.
The foundation raises and manages funds for the benefit of the patients served by Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
