POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Bears' softball skills clinic for girls in grades 5 though 12 is set for Sunday, Jan. 24 in Maxcy Hall Field House, directed by SUNY Potsdam Head Softball Coach Nicole Yost.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in softball skill development such as swing breakdown, hitting drill circuit, overhand throwing and ball handling, and base running.
The Bears will also be offering a pitching session following the skill work with basic fundamentals, breakdown of aspects of pitching and teaching drills for mechanic work. Parents and coaches are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Registration will be from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Session 1 skill session is from 2 to 5 p.m. Session 2 pitching session is from 5:30 7 p.m.
Girls are asked to bring a glove, helmet, catching gear if applicable, and a bat if you own one.
