POTSDAM -- Instead of blocking shots at practice, members of the SUNY Potsdam Bears came out to support Building Blocks recently.
Accompanied by their coach, Sherry Dobbs, basketball players helped with a variety of tasks as the day care center prepares to move from Lawrence Avenue to outer Market Street.
“They were a great help” says Director Marlene Pickering. “There were at least 12 players who did everything from carrying sheet rock to stripping plaster from the ceiling. We really appreciated the team effort. In the two hours they were there we accomplished a lot. I am grateful for their show of support”.
Anyone who would like to show support for Building Blocks for the Future may contact Pickering at 265-8260.
