Rashid M. Stirling, 23, Brooklyn, was charged with third degree possession of a controlled substance, according to Canton police.
Donnell Q. Tucker, 19, New York, was charged with possession of a forged instrument, seventh degree possession of a controlled substance, and pot possession, police said.
Canton police executed search warrants on a SUNY Canton dorm, a Nissan Maxima, and an apartment at 49 W. Main St., according to police.
The warrants were issued following a month long investigation into the sale and distribution of drugs on campus and in Canton, officers said.
Police recovered about 30 packets of heroin, cocaine, and pot, as well as drug paraphernalia and counterfeit United States currency, police said.
Both were arraigned in front of Judge Camp in Pierrepont. Rashid was held on $3,000 cash or $6,000 bond, police said.
Tucker was held on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond, officers said.
St. Lawrence County Sheriffs deputies, SUNY Potsdam police, Gouverneur police, state police, Potsdam police, and SUNY Canton police assisted in the investigation, which continues, according to police.
More charges are reportedly pending.
