CANTON – SUNY Canton has honored two employees for exceptional job performance.
College Council Chair Ronald O'Neill presented the college’s Director of Career Services Julie Parkman with the Excellence in College Service Award, and Payroll Assistant Amber Riordan received the Employee Recognition Award.
"The council selected Julie and Amber because of their commitment to excellence and dedication to improving the student experience," O'Neill said. "Both are also highly regarded for their creative problem-solving abilities and willingness to work collaboratively with departments across campus."
Under Parkman’s leadership, the Career Services Office earned a prestigious first-place ranking among technology-sector SUNY schools and a second-place ranking in all of SUNY in the latest Student Opinion Survey.
Riordan was recognized for her outstanding customer service skills, which she demonstrated in her former position as an agency service representative in the Financial Aid Office and her current role as a payroll assistant in Human Resources.
Both received a plaque and a gift from the College Council.
