CANTON – A new session of strengthening and toning exercise classes will begin Tuesday, Sept. 7 and continue through Thursday, Oct. 14, in the St. Lawrence University fitness center multi-purpose room.
Classes are held Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8 a.m. and taught by certified fitness instructor Teresa Stone. The weight bearing exercises are designed to strengthen muscles, create definition and tone, improve bone density and help balance and stability by focusing on your core muscles. While the class is not geared to be a cardiovascular workout, participants will elevate their heart rate and increase circulation.
All equipment is provided and you need not be a member of the fitness center to participate. The fee for the 6-week session (12 classes) is $45. Contact the SLU Fitness Center at 229-5415 or visit their website to register for this class.
