WINTHROP — A Stop the Violence March will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. starting at the Brasher Municipal Building.
The organizer, Robert Pike, said the march is to raise awareness of violence happening in the area.
“On the early morning hours of Oct. 30, 2022 my son was brutally attacked in Winthrop NY. At this time there are still no arrests made. We feel this was a hate crime because of his sexuality,” Pike said.
The march will start at the municipal building and travel down the public sidewalk through Brasher and Winthrop. Rides back to vehicles will be available after the march.
