ST. REGIS FALLS — The St. Regis Falls Central School District will conduct a mock school emergency exercise on Friday, March 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The training session will prepare staff and local responders to better handle possible security breaches and active assailant situations.
The event will be co-facilitated by New York State Police (Troop B) and Homeland Security and Emergency Services. It is being held on a Superintendent Conference Day so there will be no students in school that day.
Involved parties include St. Regis Falls Central School District, Champlain Valley BOCES, Franklin County 911, Franklin County Sheriff's Office, NYS Department of Conservation, St. Regis Falls Emergency Rescue, St. Regis Falls Volunteer Fire Department and Dickinson Volunteer Fire Department
The district has extended invitations to Assemblyman Billy Jones and Senator Dan Stec.
