St. Lawrence Health System recently named RN and Ambulatory Surgery Registered Nurse Nancy S. Foisy as their employee of the year.
Foisy, who works at Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH), was chosen from 12 finalists who all received special recognition as fellow employees of the quarter throughout the past year.
Colleagues recognize Foisy for her genuine and caring nature, her ‘can do approach’, and her contagious optimism, hospital officials said. They noted that outside of her responsibilities at CPH, she cares for her family and is actively involved in church and her local community.
“Nancy lives the CPH values in every step she takes and her dedication and commitment to excellent is difficult to match,” said Sally A. Remington, Director of Ambulatory Surgery and Gastroenterology. “Shortly after Nancy joined CPH in 2005, she sought out opportunities for growth and continued education and her knowledge base, critical thinking skills, and assessment skills have become instrumental in the success of our pre-admissions program”.
As employee of the year, Ms. Foisy received Potsdam gift certificates, an achievement plaque, floral arrangement and the admiration of her colleagues.
