The state Department of Labor's Division of Research and Statistics calculated a 6.4 percent unemployment rate in St. Lawrence County for November 2017.
The rate is up from an even 6 percent in November 2016.
Jefferson County was 6.8 percent in November 2017, while Franklin County featured a rate of 6.1 percent, and Lewis County was 5.9 percent.
The Department of Labor estimates that there were 40,800 employed people in St. Lawrence County in November 2017, compared to 40,200 in November 2018.
The number of unemployed people was calculated at 2,800 in November 2017, compared to 2,600 here last year in November.
The number of employed people in Jefferson County in November 2017 was 42,800. There were 3,100 unemployed people in Jefferson in November. Just over 11,000 people were employed in Lewis County, with 700 unemployed. Franklin County saw 18,600 people employed in November 2017 with 1,200 unemployed.
