OGDENSBURG – The annual St. Lawrence County tax foreclosure auction is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 9, at Lockwood Arena, West River Street.
Registration is at 8 a.m. The auction begins at 10 a.m.
Just over 200 properties are expected to be on the block, with about 180 new properties added to the rolls this year.
An auction book listing the foreclosures is available online at https://www.stlawco.org/Departments/RealProperty/AuctionBook.
Property owners are allowed to pay back taxes and redeem their properties up to 30 days before the auction, states the county Real Property website. Therefore, a parcel listed on the website may not be available for sale on the day of the auction.
Where possible, all parcels that are reclaimed by their owners and removed from the sale will be noted on site prior to the auction, said Real Property.
