School budget votes and elections of board of education members for all St. Lawrence County schools has been changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Governor Andrew Cuomo has ordered that the school budget vote and election of school board members is postponed until at least June 1.
Budget votes and election were scheduled for May 19.
“Therefore, you will receive the budget notices and newsletters later according to this new timeline,” Potsdam Central School Superintendent Joann Chambers said in a newsletter to district parents.
The fiscal year begins July 1 for most school districts in the state.
