LAWRENCEVILLE — The St. Lawrence County Fire Chiefs Association had their monthly meeting on January 19, at the Lawrenceville Fire Station.
The Association meets bi-monthly at different hosting fire stations in St. Lawrence County.
Margaret Haggard, District 10 Legislator (Potsdam) was a guest in attendance.
“She is very supportive of the fire service and agreed to take some issues back to the Board of Legislators,” said Karin Blackburn, St. Lawrence County Fire Chiefs Association secretary.
Adrian Bush, was honored with the Norfolk Fire Department St. Lawrence County Fire Chiefs Association 2022 Firefighter of the Year award.
The agenda included:
• Training done by David Weitz, Fire Investigation Team, on Scene Preservation
• County wide information from Matt Denner, Director of St. Lawrence County Office of Emergency Services
• Reports from the Fire Training Center, and Association Officers and Committees • Announcement of the St. Lawrence County Fire Chiefs 2022 Firefighter of the Year: Adrian Bush, Norfolk Fire Department
The Lawrenceville Fire Department Auxiliary put on meal and provided hospitality.
The St. Lawrence County Fire Chiefs Association brings together all interested parties within St. Lawrence County who have a vested interest in fire protection of all communities to include fire departments; all municipal and county governments; with an interest in more effective fire prevention and firefighting.
The Association invites all firefighters in St. Lawrence County to be a member.
