POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence County Arts Council will hold a craft class and a music class for children this November.
Alison Grovine will help children develop basic musical skills through fun activities including singing and playing simple instruments. Classes start Thursday, Nov. 1 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and run through Dec. 13. Cost per children under age 4 is $42 for 6 weeks. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Arts Council staff member, Robert Fowler, will help children create centerpieces for their Thanksgiving tables. Kids should wear clothing that can get messy and are welcome to bring sprigs of artificial fall flowers and plants to include in their cornucopias. The class is $15 and will meet Saturday, Nov. 10 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
Classes meet on the second floor of downtown Snell Hall, 41 Elm St. Contact the SLC Arts Council at 265-6860 or www.slcartscouncil.org to register and pre-pay.
