POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music will host a guest artist performance by Samantha Stinson, soprano, on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater.
Stinson will present a vocal chamber recital, in collaboration with members of the Crane wind and piano faculty, including: Jill Rubio, flute; Julianne Kirk Doyle, clarinet; Anna Hendrickson, oboe; Jo Ann Simpson, bassoon, and Kathryn Sherman, piano. The recital will feature works by Handel, Schubert, Chabrier and Corigliano.
This event is free, and the public is invited to attend.
Stinson, a soprano, is a crossover artist and educator. She regularly performs in operas, musicals, recitals and concerts throughout the U.S. Most recently, she was a vocal fellow with Stephanie Blythe's Fall Island Vocal Arts Seminar and performed as a soloist with both the Orchestra of Northern New York and the Potsdam Community Chorus.
Stinson is a doctor of musical arts candidate in voice performance at the University of Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music.
