CANTON — Yuletide decor in the Victorian tradition was created at a workshop offered by the St. Lawrence County Center for History and Culture workshop held in Canton Nov. 30.
Vicky Oakes, of Canton, and Carlene Bermann, Executive Director of the St. Lawrence County Center for History and Culture, assisted a half dozen attendees in creating a holiday swag.
Instruction was given in how to cut, shape and hang evergreen branches into swags, and how to add the dried fruits cones, and bows to adorn the swag.
The Annual Holiday Open House will be held Friday, Dec. 6, from 4:00p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Silas Wright Historic House & Museum, 3 East Main St., Canton. The event is free to attend and open to the public.
Tour the museum decked out for the holidays and enjoy food, music, and craft stations with take-home crafts.
