Showers will move into the St. Lawrence Valley today as a low-pressure system move throughout the area bringing a cold front to the region with rain tapering off by midnight and unseasonably cool temperatures for Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Below temperatures will be brief however as warmer and dryer conditions are predicted for much of next week, TWS says.

Showers are likely today with a slight change of thunderstorms with highs around 70 and south winds of 15 to 20 mph. The chance of rain is 70 percent.

Tonight is expected to be cloudy with showers likely with a slight chance of thunderstorms until midnight with a chance of showers after midnight, TWS says.

Lows will be in the upper 40s with west winds of 10 mph and a chance of rain at 70 percent.
