MORRISTOWN – “Shop Local Saturday” will feature artists and artisans selling their works for the upcoming holiday season from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 30.
Artists opening their shops to the public include Scott Ouderkirk Studio, 281 River Rd., Hammond, and will include decorative stained glass, and pen and ink illustrations. Look for the blue balloons.
Debra Monteith, 200 Gouverneur St., Morristown will showcase wood-carvings, jewelry, and painted skates from Jack Taylor.
Acorn ornaments, leaf pottery bowls and ornaments, and jewelry will be featured by Melanie Conner, 347 B, River Road East, Morristown.
Mary Ann Evans, owner of Mare’s Wares Pottery, 3939 Route 37, will have her pottery on display.
Artists showing their wares include:
Claudia Loomis Chandler of Completely Claudia will display baskets, rugs, hand-made practical textile arts.
Peter J. Basta and Edward M. Basta will display their works of special order alphabet posters and hand-turned, wood base oil lamps
Hand-made wooden bowls and rolling pins made of locally grown hardwoods will be shown by Gary Pierce of Chipman Woodworks.
Traditional jewelry, stones, pearls, polymer clay, and more will be available from Karan Marie of The Wild Inside.
Melanie Kimbler-Lago will show her fiber artists of wall-sized artistic quilts and old chairs at Cat House Designs.
