Shawn A. Wright, 44, South Colton

SOUTH COLTON— Graveside services and a Celebration of Life gathering for Shawn A. Wright, 44, a resident of 4381 St. Highway 56, South Colton, will be held at a later date to be announced.  Shawn passed away Thursday afternoon, February 29, 2024 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT with family at his side. 

Shawn is survived by his three children, Andrew, Jacob and Harley Wright, all of Parishville; two beloved grandchildren, Braxton and Anna; his special friend, Tracy Randall, Browns Bridge; his mother, Louise and Kurt Conant, South Colton; his father, Charles and Lisa Wright, South Colton; two brothers, Charles and Michelle Wright, South Colton and Thomas Wright and his companion Shannon Reynolds, South Colton and his three sisters, Wanda and Dennis Keleher, West Stockholm; Amy and Chris Mossow, St. Regis Falls and April and Joey Sharlow, Knapps Station as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Shawn was pre-deceased by a daughter, Skylar in 2003 and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

              Born in Potsdam, NY on April 5, 1979 to Charles and Louise Shattuck Wright, Shawn attended Colton-Pierrepont Central School.  A marriage to Bridget Hannan on July 19, 2010 later ended in divorce.  Most recently, Shawn was working in the maintenance department at SUNY Canton.  In his spare time, Shawn loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren and he also enjoyed cutting camp firewood for the summer campers, playing cornhole, coin collecting, scrap metaling and attending derby’s.  Memorial donations in Shawn’s memory can be made to the St. Lawrence County Suicide Awareness Coalition and memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .  The Buck Funeral Home in Colton is serving the family of Shawn A.
