Sen. Betty Little, who represents Parishville, Colton and other parts of St. Lawrence County has been appointed to the Rules Committee and the Commerce, Economic Development and Small Business Committee in the State Senate.
She will also continue to serve as chair of the Cultural Affairs, Tourism, Parks and Recreation Committee, and as a member of the following committees: Consumer Protection, Crime Victims, Crime and Correction, Education, Environmental Conservation, Finance and Judiciary.
“With the departures of a couple of senators there was some shuffling and a chance to serve on some new committees,” Little said. “The commerce committee focuses on job creation and the rules committee sees much of the legislation that makes its way to the Senate floor. Both are good opportunities to add my perspective on behalf of my constituents.
