The Seaway Valley Senior Citizens are welcoming new members.
The group, which held its first meeting in 1972, was originally named the Waddington-Madrid Senior Citizens Club.
Over the years Seaway Valley members have enjoyed many activities including trips to various places, summer picnics and monthly luncheon meetings which are held alternately in Louisville, Madrid and
Waddington.
Interesting speakers are always an integral part of the meetings. The members also collect items for several food pantries and the Office for the Aging.
Residents from any location wishing to join the Seaway Valley Senior Citizens are invited to attend a luncheon meeting and those people 50 years of age or older are invited to join.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at noon and locations are publicized.
