Schedule changes announced for weekend SUNY Canton games due to winter weather

CANTON — Several changes have been announced to SUNY Canton spring sport schedules for this weekend's games due to weather.

Fans are encouraged to check each team's schedule pages the day of an event prior to attending to make sure they have the most updated schedule.

The softball team was originally scheduled to host SUNY Cobleskill for a three-game series on Friday (4/5) and Saturday (4/6). Those have been postponed and the teams will now play a doubleheader next Tuesday (4/9) at 2 p.m. A makeup date for the third game has not yet been announced. Due to these changes, the Roos originally scheduled doubleheader against Castleton next Tuesday (4/9) has been canceled.

The baseball team was originally scheduled to visit SUNY Cobleskill for a three-game series on Friday (4/5) and Saturday (4/6). Those have been postponed and the teams will now play a doubleheader on Sunday (4/7) at Schoharie High School at 12 p.m. A makeup date for the third game has not yet been announced.

The men's lacrosse team will still travel to Maine for a pair of road games against Thomas College on Saturday (4/6) and MCLA on Sunday (4/7). Saturday's game against the Terriers will either be played at Maine Maritime at 10 a.m., at Thomas College at 12 p.m. or at Husson at a time to be determined depending on whose field is playable due to the winter storm hitting Maine. Please check the men's lacrosse schedule page prior to attending the game. Sunday's contest against MCLA will be played at Williams College beginning at 1 p.m.

The women's lacrosse team's home games on Saturday (4/6) against Maine Maritime at 12 p.m. and on Sunday (4/7) against Husson at 11 a.m. are still expected to take place at their original start times as planned.
