NORWOOD -- Save The Fountain is sponsoring a brick fundraising campaign to enhance the park grounds surrounding the fountain.
Legacy bricks can be donated by people, families, graduating classes, groups, businesses and organizations.
The fountain had deteriorated since the mid 1990s when all elementary school functions were moved to the Norwood-Norfolk Central School. In July, organizers said the restoration of the landmark was nearly complete.
Save The Fountain will be at the Norwood Fall Festival Saturday, Sept. 16, and will have brick order forms available. Bricks can also be ordered online at www.bricksrus.com/order/fountain/.
Other donation opportunities available to assist in beautifying the park area include park benches, historic kiosks and flowering shrubbery.
