To the Editor:

The second annual Potsdam Sandstonerman Youth Triathlon was a huge success on Saturday, August 13th. We had 56 participants ages 5 to 18, and the weather was beautiful with sunny skies and a light breeze.

We are so thankful for the generous support of this triathlon by all of our generous sponsors. It was wonderful to have so many local sponsors, especially those who also sponsored last year.

We would like to sincerely thank our many volunteers who worked on race day. We would not have been able to do it without you. Thank you to Jim and Kevin Allott, Mick, Mallory, Kaila, and Kacie Maguire, Joe Stark, Tom Hobbs, Reggie McDonald Fred Stone, Tony and Courtney Woods, Julia Pahler, Seth Hinman, Claudette Foisy, and the lifeguards who watched the water while the kids were swimming.

Next year will be the third annual Sandstonerman Youth Triathlon and we hope to see even more kids swim, bike, and run.
