First year William Wilson continued to lead the St. Lawrence University men's golf team after shooting seven over par, replicating his score from day one, on day two of the 35th annual Duke Nelson Invitational hosted by Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont on Sunday afternoon.
Wilson, who was tied for 50th place with 13 other golfers in the highly competitive field after shooting a 78 on the par-71 Ralph Myhre Gold Course finished the weekend in a tie for 63rd place with Ben Beiers from Williams College.
All four of the remaining Saints shaved strokes off their scores from day one. Eric Lindahl, who shot a 89 on Saturday erased 12 strokes, shooting a 77 on Sunday.
At the end of day one, St. Lawrence sat in 20th place and moved up one spot to finish the tournament in 19th place with a combined score of 639 after two rounds.
Williams College bumped NYU out of the lead, claiming the top spot, while Trinity and NYU finished second and third, respectively.
