Saints defensive tackle Brown-Wallace named to second Preseason All-America Team

Senior Chyron Brown-Wallace earned a second preseason All-America selection as the D3football.com team was released Monday with Brown-Wallace earning first-team honors.

"Chyron has earned the recognition of national media outlets and opponents as well over the past three years," said Head Coach Dan Puckhaber. "We are looking for Chyron to continue to lead an experienced defensive unit in 2016 as we look to build on the success that we have established here at St. Lawrence. He is one of several talented players that had a taste of the NCAA Tournament last year and are focused on earning a return trip this year."

The defensive tackle for St. Lawrence was among the national leaders in 2015 with 22 tackles for loss (ranked eighth nationally) and 11 Ā½ sacks (14th). He is one of just five returning players in the country that averaged at least 2.0 tackles for loss per game. He was a consensus All-American in 2015 as he earned postseason honors from both the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and D3football.com.

The 2016 team co-captain leads the Saints to the 2016 season opener at home at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 2 against Morrisville in what will be the first night game ever played at Leckonby Stadium.
