RUSSELL -- Wayside Tavern and other local businesses recently raised $571 for Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
The Wayside Tavern as well as Midtown Hair, North Country Auto Parts, Parkway Ford, Mac Tool (Rob Reed), Ye Olde Liquor's, Skunk's Nest, Boyden Brook, Jewelery By Gail, Jocko's, The Glow, American House, Pizza Hut, Park Lane (Becky Salego), Hal and Sue Bullock and A.J. Misserts all made donations to help raise the money.
The First Student bus line provided a safe and fun ride. A “Toys for Tots” run is planned for the fall.
