(Potsdam, N.Y.)-The SUNY Canton men's basketball team lost to the College of St. Joseph (Vt.) 67-59 in the consolation game of the North Country Invitational Saturday afternoon at Clarkson University.
The Roos are now 1-4 and will play at Alfred State on December 1. St. Joseph is also in the Sunrise Conference with SUNY Canton but Saturday's game counts as a non-conference contest.
Jajuan Williams (Richlands, N.C.) scored a season-high 19 points to lead SUNY Canton. He was 8 of 10 from the free throw line and also had three rebounds and three assists.
Khalid Vaughn (New York, N.Y.) added 15 points, nine boards and three assists and Silvon John (Bronx, N.Y.) contributed 12 points and 12 rebounds, seven on the offensive end.
The Fighting Saints were led by Rahiem Smalls who had 26 points and 12 rebounds. KJ Jackson added 11 points, six rebounds and four of the Fighting Saints seven blocked shots.
