Robert A. Phillips, 65, Norfolk

Mr. Robert A. Phillips, age 65 of Norfolk, NY passed away suddenly on March 13, 2024 at his residence in the town of Norfolk. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Contributions in Robert’s memory can be made to the Potsdam Humane Society @ 17 Madrid Ave. Potsdam, NY 13676. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Constance “Connie” LaBaff-Phillips; son Chad Phillips, John Williams and companion Dawn LaFlair, Robert Douglas Phillips and his fiancée Taslima DeShane; daughters Bobbie Jean Phillips and Candis Phillips and companion Roger Bevins; sisters Naomi Phillips and companion Carl Monroe, Robin Hoyt, Rita Moniere and Joyce Garrow; 24 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a granddaughter Angel Grace Phillips and a sister Vicky Phillips.
Mr. Robert A. Phillips was born January 18, 1959 in Potsdam, NY to the late Allen Phillips and Jean Deugaw. He attended Potsdam Central Schools. At a young age he served for 6 years in the United States Navy Reserves. He worked several jobs as a maintenance man/janitor with his last job being Walmart in Potsdam. He started seeing Connie in 1989 and then they were married on September 21, 1999.
He and Connie enjoyed having family gatherings with lots of music being played by the family members. They also enjoyed camping. Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Condolences for the Phillips family can be made @www.garnerfh.com.
