Junior Joe Riley earned his second win of the season on Thursday as St. Lawrence University's baseball team evened its record with a 5-0 win over St. Joseph's College of Long Island in Ft. Myers, FL.
The Saints, now 3-3, scored single runs in the top of the second and sixth innings, added two in the seventh and one in the ninth to back Riley, who has yet to allow a run in two starts.
Paul Piatelli walked, advanced on Brian Magovney's single and scored on a single by Kevin Prindle in the second. Piatelli then made it 2-0 when he walked, stole second and scored on Matt DeLuca's single in the sixth.
Bryan Palermo singled, stole second and scored on Carter Franz' double in the seventh with Jeff Kott doubling home Franz and Palermo singled and scored on Khifer O'Connor's base hit in the top of the ninth.
Riley struck out three and allowed five singles in seven inning with Andrew Weitzel finishing the game up with two innings of scoreless relief.
The Saints will play Westminster at 10 a.m. Friday in their next game on the southern trip.
