DEKALB -- A Massena man was jailed on felony assault charges involving a three-year-old, according to state police.
Robert H. Reynolds, 24, was charged with assault: causing injury to a person less than seven years old, felony, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Child Protective Services advised state police of an alleged incident of child abuse that took place in Richville.
A three year-old child who is known to Reynolds sustained bruises, bumps and burns, troopers said.
The incident was reported to state police March 11. His arrest took place at 3:30 p.m. at the police station, 29 Stearns St.
Reynolds was arraigned in Massena court before Town Justice Serguson and remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 bail or $3,000 bond.
He is to appear in Dekalb court April 19, at 7:30 p.m.
