Msgt. Michael G. White, formerly of Russell, retires from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service.
Michael was a part of the 27th Special Operations Wing where he maintained Special Operations aircraft.
During his career he saw service in Somalia, Peru, Kosovo, Bosnia and deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He is the son of SallyBeth Finnerty and husband Richard H. Finnerty of Russell and Charles W. White and wife Sheila of Russell.
Michael graduated from Edwards Knox Central School in 1991.
He plans on residing in the town of Russell with his wife Audrea and three sons Cody, Jeremy and Jacob. The boys will be attending Edwards Knox.
Plans for a meet and greet to help celebrate will be at the Russell town hall set for Nov. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. Come join us for coffee and cake.
