CANTON -- In mid-November, a series of stakeholder meetings and a public workshop were held as a first step in gathering input for Canton's comprehensive plan.
The Town of Canton and Villages of Canton and Rensselaer Falls are working together on the year-long process of developing a " vision for the future and a blueprint for change, especially as it relates to the physical growth of the community’s buildings, streets, and infrastructure."
Initial input and feedback from those meetings are available on the comprehensive plan website -- www.cantonnycomprehensiveplan.com -- along with comments shared via the website.
Additional meetings will be held in the coming months to solicit input from the public.
Questions and ideas may be directed to the committee via the website.
Canton's comprehensive plan project is supported by funding provided by the New York State Department of State, Local Waterfront Revitalization Program under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund.
