North Country Rep. Bill Owens is urging everyone to take a moment today to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
“Today marks the 13th anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. On this day we remember the victims who lost their lives and the families who lost their loved ones.
“We honor the first responders and everyday citizens who risked their lives to save the lives of others and whose selflessness continues to inspire us. And we pay tribute to the members of the U.S. Armed Forces, intelligence community and diplomatic corps who have shown a tireless commitment to bringing the killers to justice.
“I urge everyone to take time today to reflect on the extraordinary service of these heroes and keep the victims and their families in our minds and in our hearts.”
