RENSSELAER FALLS -- Rensselaer Falls band Tyrade has a chance to open at the Darien Lake Uproar Festival with Godsmack, Staind, Shinedown, Papa Roach and many more.
The opportunity is part of an online contest at http://battle.rockstaruproar.com/home.eb. Tyrade nearly won a similar contest last year and band members are hoping the community help ensure they don't miss their second chance.
To help the band just click on "login to vote" and sign up for a fan registration at http://battle.rockstaruproar.com/u/Tyrade. Then sign in with your email and password and vote once a day until Aug. 15.
Tyrade is made up of Matt Farrell from Saranac Lake on drums, Tim Anson from Canton on bass, Thomas Arquitt from Saranac Lake on guitar, and Ronn Simser from Renesselaer Falls. Tyrade's style of music comes from its varied background of musicians. Their style ranges from melodic power ballads, to anger-fueled metal anthems, and everything in between.
Tyrade has been on stage with bands including Five Finger Death Punch, Godsmack, Papa Roach, Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Sludge Factory, Trivium, God Forbid, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Adrenaline Mob, Kittie, Escape the Fate, Pop Evil, Motograter, STEMM, Edisun, Green Jelly, Tantric, Adema, Burn Halo, Texas Hippie Coalition, Taproot, Modern Day Escape, Cold, Egypt Central, KoPeK, Oceans Divide, Skid Row and Ratts Stephen Pearcy.
Anyone who hasn't seen the Tyrade will have a chance Aug. 7 at the Oswego Speedway, where the band will share the stage with Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Pop Evil, God Forbid and Shadows Fall.
