OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum will offer four “Family Fridays” art classes in August.
The classes take place from 10 a.m.-noon on Aug. 3, 10, 17 and 24. Classes begin at the Frederic Remington Art Museum and finish at the Eva Caten Remington Education Center two doors down the street.
The classes give children 6-14 and their adult caregivers an opportunity to explore the work of Frederic Remington on display at the Remington Museum, and to engage in hands-on artmaking related to our explorations in the Museum.
Participants can sign up for as many or few of the classes as they like.
The cost of the class is $5 per family; all materials will be provided. Each class is limited to 20 participants. Call 315-393-2425 or email desmond@fredericremington.org to ask questions or sign up.
“Exploring and making art together is such a fun and enriching activity to do with your grandkids, kids, nieces, or nephews,” says Museum Education Specialist Laura Desmond. “Remington’s work has something to say to everyone, and we’ll have a lot of fun getting our hands dirty with some Remington-inspired art activities.”
The Frederic Remington Art Museum is located at 303 Washington St.
