To the supposed animal lover and fervent opponent of a raccoon rehabilitation center: In the North Country wild animals abound and are a part of nature. We too occasionally have nuisance animals on our property. Rather than killing them we elect to relocate them. Maybe, as a self-described “animal lover,” you should consider doing the same. As for rabies, let’s not cause panic and the unnecessary slaughter of animals by overstating the problem as being worse than it is.
