MASSENA -- U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 01-01 Massena will offer the About Boating Safely boater safety course on Feb. 24 and 25 from 5 to 9 p.m. each night at the NYPA visitors’ center at Hawkins Point.
The course is open to anyone 10 years or older who wishes to operate a personal watercraft, or anyone born after May 1, 1996, wishing to operate a powerboat.
The boating qualification earned by completing the course meets requirements in all states.
Cost for the class is $35 and family rates are available.
Registration is required and both nights must be attended. Contact shayn15@twcny.rr.com for more information.
Certificates and cards will be awarded at the end of the second night.
All instructional materials can be kept, including the U.S.C.G. Auxiliary book “About Boating Safely” and state and federal regulation guides.
