CANTON – Registration is open for the Community Bank, N.A. Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, June 21 at Partridge Run Golf and Country Club.
This is Community Bank’s 48th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, and tournament Chairman David Peggs said proceeds will again benefit the work of Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
Registration forms are available at branches of Community Bank, Hospice, and at local golf courses.
"With such a longstanding tradition, this golf tournament is just one way for Community Bank to support the invaluable services that Hospice provides to our area,” Peggs said. “We are truly appreciative for the sustained commitment that our players and corporate sponsors make each year in helping us to raise much needed funding for Hospice. Their generous support allows Hospice to continue to provide special care for seriously ill patients and their families.”
“Since 1995 Hospice has benefitted from Community Bank’s annual charity golf tournament,” noted Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley Director of Development Kellie Hitchman. “The Bank staff does a fantastic job each year organizing the tournament. Celebrating the 48th year of this special community event is noteworthy. We are grateful for the Bank’s dedicated support, as well as the generous support of the golfers, sponsors, and volunteers.”
Play begins with an 11 a.m. shotgun start, with dinner and awards immediately following play. The $75 per person or $300 team entry fee includes prizes, greens fees, cart and dinner.
Flights for the captain and crew format will be determined by the combined team handicap, and there will be prizes for the longest drive and closest to the pin, along with a hole-in-one giveaway sponsored by TJ Toyota.
Questions about playing in the tournament or corporate sponsorships can be directed to Kellie Hitchman at Hospice at 315-265-3105.
