WANAKENA - The preregistration deadline for the Ranger School Forest Festival 5K Fun Run and Walk Sept. 29 has been extended to Sept. 21.
Racers desiring a race shirt should preregister by that date.
Participants may still register up until the morning of the race, but are not guaranteed a race shirt.
The Fun Run and Walk begins at 9 a.m. from the student parking lot on the Ranger School campus. All participants should check in on the morning of the race between 7:45 and 8:45 am.
Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each of six divisions, as well as to the oldest and the youngest participants overall.
The route will follow gravel forest roads, and includes rough surfaces and moderate terrain.
Entrance fee is $20 for adults and $12 for youth 14 and under.
