OGDENSBURG – The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce’s popular Scavenger Hunt will be Saturday, Sept. 17.
This year Dave Sickler is assisting Kevin McDonough in creating the clues. These two very knowledgeable local history buffs are sure to come up with some very tough and long-forgotten pieces of Ogdensburg history.
At 1 p.m., each team of four starts out from The Freighthouse Restaurant and based on their knowledge of the history, trivia, legends and people of Ogdensburg, they will have to find all seven challenging clues and landmarks, answer all the questions, scavenge around the city for the “treasures,” identify 10 pictures of places in Ogdensburg and bring back their team’s answers by 7 p.m.
The winning team will receive a $200 cash prize.
Everyone will enjoy a free “Scavenger Hunt Repast Party” while the judges are tabulating the scores.
To enter a team of four for $50, call Sandy Porter at the chamber office at 393-3620.
