Potsdam town board votes to relevy unpaid water, sewer bills

POTSDAM — The town board recently voted to relevy unpaid water and sewer bills, accepted an agreement for telecommunications, agreed to request bids for a town-wide revaluation and handled other town business recently.

The board approved the resolutions at its November meeting.

A motion was passed unanimously to reappoint William Morris to a 5-year term on the Board of Assessment Review. The term is retroactive to Sept. 30, 2023. It will expire on Sept. 30, 2028.

Two change orders to work being done by Northern Tier Contracting on the Postwood Park bathhouse were approved. The changes were for $886.69 and $1,910.54.

The board also accepted a quote for grant writing and engineering services from the firm GYMO Architecture Engineering & Land Surveying DPC of Watertown.

A resolution was also passed authorizing the advertisement for Request for Proposals for town-wide tax assessment revaluation services. The RFP submissions are due to Town Assessor Danielle Mitchell by 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 15, 2023.

The board authorized the relevy of unpaid District 1 water and sewer bills onto the 2024 Town and County tax bills.

Town Supervisor Ann Carvill was authorized to sign a service agreement with SLIC Network Solutions for telecommunications services and fiber optics.

Carvill was also authorized to sign a service agreement with NCC Systems and NEC Systems to provide equipment and phone service to the town offices.
