POTSDAM – An 11 year-old from Potsdam student received a swimming pool from the Make-A-Wish Foundation recently.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation honored Rachel Bartlett by granting her wish of a swimming pool, which was installed this summer at her home on Reagan Road, Winthrop.
Rachael received a beautiful pool, complete with a deck, slide, and landscaping for many hours of fun in the sun with family and friends.
Thursday night she and her family were given a pool revealing party with donations from Domino’s Pizza, Price Chopper, and Rite Aid of Massena.
A pizza party was enjoyed by all followed by a splash in the pool full of toys. Her parents Tonya and Steve Bartlett, brother Seth, and sister Sarah joined Rachael in the celebration.
“The Make-a-Wish Foundation grants wishes for children ages 2 1/2 to 18 years with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy,” said Jan Murphy, one of the local wish granters of Make-A-Wish Foundation.
