POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Public Library is offering four computer classes.
• July 24, 5 to 6:30 p.m. - Introduction to PowerPoint. Learn to use Power Point to enhance and professionalize presentations. Learn to incorporate photos, special effects, and information from many sources to complete a presentation.
• July 25, 1:30 to 3 p.m. – Dropbox. Learn to save documents, pictures, etc. in Dropbox and be able to access them from any computer with internet access. Bring a laptop to download the program. Participants must be comfortable with internet use.
• July 29, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. – Excel 2, practice. For those who have taken a basic Excel class or are familiar with the program, practice using it to create a spreadsheet. Format actual data from a hypothetical budget spreadsheet, using instructions and given data. Create a graph, highlight and mark cells, create basic formulae and do in-spreadsheet calculations.
• July 31, 4:30 tp 6:30 p.m. – PowerPoint 2, practice. For those who have taken a basic class in using PowerPoint or are quite familiar with the program, this class gives you an opportunity to practice using it by creating a mock presentation. Design and format slides, use animations, insert pictures and video.
