POTSDAM -- Local residents now have access to dozens of magazines free via the Potsdam Public Library’s website.
Residents will have unlimited, multi-user access to complete digital magazines on most internet-enabled devices, according to Pat Musante, library director.
The magazines can be viewed at www.potsdamlibrary.org.
The Zinio for Libraries service digitally recreates a magazine page by page, including full color pictures. The digital product features “intuitive” navigation, key word article searches, audio and video, Musante said.
A Potsdam barcode is not necessary to access the reports at the library, but is necessary to access them from home, she said.
The library plans to increase the online collection each year, but it currently includes items like National Geographic Interactive, i-Pad for Parents, GamesMaster, Us Weekly, and Dwell, according to Musante. News magazines like Newsweek and Forbes will also be available.
Other titles include Astronomy, Canoe & Kayak, Eating Well, Food Network Magazine, Green Living Guide, HD Video Pro Magazine, Horse & Rider, iPad for Parents, iPhone Life, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Knitters Magazine, Macworld, National Geographic Interactive, PCWorld, Popular Mechanics, Vibe Magazine, VIV Magazine, Zamoof!,
