The Potsdam Varsity Boys Hockey Team is raising money for St. Lawrence Health Center for Cancer Care by organizing two events this year.
Rock N’ Skate was held at Pine St. Arena, Potsdam, Jan. 20, with community members skating with the varsity hockey players and Sandstoner Steve on the ice as well.
The second fundraiser is a hockey game Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m.
Potsdam Varsity Boys Hockey is playing against St. Lawrence Central at Pine St. Arena.
Potsdam Hockey Coach Jack Charlebois said this year’s senior hockey players selected the cancer center as its charity of choice. The team plans to fundraise for a different charity each year, he said.
