Current executive director Megan Mulvenna is stepping down to accept another position.
Mulvenna was promoted to executive director in November 2022 from assistant director, taking over from then director Kurstin Stowell.
According to the chamber’s call for candidates, the local non-profit, business membership organization seeks a leader who will “advance its mission to support business members and economic growth in the greater Potsdam area.”
The director will be responsible for all administrative and management functions, following the bylaws and policy guidelines of the organization.
The successful candidate will be expected to plan, direct, and oversee all activities of the chamber, the advertisement said.
Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, event planning, and community outreach.
The position, which is 30 hours a week, reports directly to the Chamber's Board of Directors.
Evening and weekend hours are sometimes required.
Compensation is based on experience.
Resumes can be sent to Potsdam Chamber of Commerce 6 Market Street, Potsdam, NY 13676 or by email to: director@potsdamchamber.com .
