POTSDAM — The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce has named the winners of the 2026 Potsdam Summer Fest T-Shirt Design Contest and unveiled this year’s festival theme, “The Fun Begins Where the Sidewalk Ends!”

The annual contest, held in partnership with A.A. Kingston Middle School, invites students to create original artwork inspired by Summer Fest and the spirit of the Potsdam community.

The Chamber recognized Avery Cook, an 8th grade student at A.A. Kingston Middle School, as the overall winner of the 2026 Summer Fest T-Shirt Design Contest. Avery’s artwork will be featured on the official 2026 Potsdam Summer Fest T-shirt.

In addition to the overall winner, the Chamber is proud to recognize four additional student artists whose work stood out among this year’s submissions: Avery Cook – 8th grade (overall winner); Natalie Vaverchak, 8th grade; Gianna Sorrento, 7th grade; Londyn Frego, 6th grade and Isabelle Waite, 5th grade.

“We continue to be amazed by the talent and creativity of our local students,” said Melanie Flack, Executive Director of the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce. “These young artists have helped capture the excitement and imagination that make Summer Fest such a special community celebration. We are grateful to A.A. Kingston Middle School, the students, and art teacher Miranda Brosell for their continued partnership.”

Potsdam Summer Fest 2026 will take place July 9–11 and feature live entertainment, vendors, family activities, community events, food, and more throughout downtown Potsdam.

“The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce extends its appreciation to all students who participated in this year’s contest and to Miranda Brosell for encouraging and inspiring young artists through this annual tradition,” Flack said.
