POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Central School Board of Education will vote Oct. 23 on the proposed senior class trip to Florida this spring.
The trip, tentatively planned for March 27-31, would see students travel to Tampa, Fla., for three days of fun in the sun.
An anticipated 40-45 students will make the trip. Students and their families must pay for the trip or raise funds to cover the cost of the trip, which is estimated at $800-900 per student.
Seniors have been fundraising toward the trip and will be holding more in the future. Fundraisers include Little Lambs Cookie dough and cheesecake sale, Great American Holiday Catalog, fun nights, Outlaw salsa sale, Pee Jay’s fresh fruit sale, popcorn sale and a Yankee Candle sale
Students will be bused from Potsdam to the Plattsburgh International Airport on March 27 where they will fly to the Tampa area.
Once in Tampa students will visit Clearwater Beach, Adventure Island Waterpark, Starship dinner cruise, and Busch Gardens theme park.
Students are expected to arrive back in Potsdam around 11 a.m. on March 31.
Chaperones will be Mark Wilson, Kim Hill, Nick Leuthauser and Allison Adams.
